What is Chemistry about at Palmer?

Chemistry at Palmer is not just about memorizing the elements on the Periodic Table, it teaches Chemistry in a way where students will get a new understanding on the topics in this subject. Students will be given a new look into science with this course. This course is a new way to dive deep into the depts of Chemistry and truly learn and understand the meanings in it.

Grade 8-9

​In grade 8-9, students are just starting to develop there skills in Chemistry, students will be working on these four main core competencies, Communication, Thinking, Personal, and Social. These competencies will help students through out there Chemistry life in high school.

Grade 10-12

In grade 10-12, Students expand there skills in the four main core competencies Communication, Thinking, Personal, and Social. Students will need/learn problem solving skills in grade 11 and will continue to move forward in grade 12.

Grade 8-9 Chemistry at Palmer uses this four main core competencies to help and to develop better  science skills: Communication, Thinking, Personal and Social. These four aspects will be the building blocks to there science success.

Communication will teach students skills such as presenting information and ideas with confidence and understanding the connections between language and culture.

Thinking will teach students to come up with new different ideas.

Personal will teach students to incorporate science aspects into there daily lives.

Social will help them make new connections with people.
