What do students learn?
At Palmer, students from grade 8-12 learn these things, number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability and statistics, as well as financial literacy. As the grade goes up, student will be opened into a new world of Mathematics.

In grade 8-9, students work on these topics, number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability and statistics, and financial literacy. Students only get an introduction of these topics in grade 8-9.
In grade 10-12, Students will be doing the same topics as stated up top but with more advanced calculations, there will be a few new additional topics, arithmetic sequences, linear functions, trigonometry, angle relationships, graph analysis, applications of statistics, scale models and combinatorics.

Grade 8-9 students will express there learning through various methods that demonstrate their understanding and skills, here are a few examples:
Written Assignments
-
Essays and reports help students clearly share their ideas and understanding.
-
Creative writing projects let students express themselves and think more deeply.
Presentations
-
Oral presentations help students share information and interact with their classmates.
-
Group projects help students work together and build good communication skills.
Visual Arts
-
Artwork, posters, and infographics help students show ideas in a visual way.
-
Digital media projects, like videos or slideshows, encourage creativity and build technical skills.
Class Discussions
-
Participating in discussions lets students share ideas and respond to each other’s opinions.
Assessments
-
Quizzes and tests check how well students remember and understand the material.
-
Performance tasks, like experiments or simulations, give students hands-on learning experiences.
Reflection
-
Journals or learning logs help students think about how they learn and what they have learned.
-
Self-assessments help students check their own progress and plan their goals for the future.
Grade 10-12 students will express there learning through various methods that demonstrate their understanding and skills, here are a few examples:

Tests and Quizzes:
These check how well students remember and understand the subject/information.
Portfolios:
Collecting work over time helps students look back and see how they have improved.
Formative Assessments:
These are ongoing checks, like quizzes or discussions, that help teachers see how well students understand during the lesson.
Summative Assessments:
These are end-of-unit tests or final projects that check overall learning and skills.
Digital Tools:
Students use tools like Google Classroom and educational apps to hand in work and work together online.
Online Portfolios:
Digital portfolios make it easy for students to share their work and think about their learning.

In the end, students learn a wide verity of Math equations, operations, and many ways that students will express there learning in class.
