To take the Incentive courses you need to be accepted into the Incentive program
At Plamer English Incentive 11-12 focuses on the five main themes, periods, authors, novels, poetry, and areas of the world through literary works. However, students will be learning it with a much deeper understanding about how English Literature works. ​​​

​English Incentive 11 course is called Incentive Literacy Studies 11. English Incentive 11 focuses on the basics of English Literature 11 but with a more discriptive expalnations. Students will explore a variety of writing forms, such as, narrative, expository, descriptive, persuasive, and opinion pieces. Students will grow their development as students and expand their understanding of themselves and the world.

In grade 12 there isn't a position to be in Incentive, (in grade 11 students complete Incentive) which means there isn't a Incentive course, fortunately, there is a course for creative writing called, Creative Writing 12. Creative Writing 12 focuses on the exploration of personal and cultural identities, memories, and stories.

English Incentive 11-12 focuses on the five main themes but with a more challenging understanding but can be understood by anyone if they put in the effort.
