English Incentive 9-10

To take the Incentive courses you need to be accepted into the Incentive program

Important!

At Palmer, students in English Incentive learn the same four topics, literature, novels, short stories, and poetry. However,  students will be learning it with a much deeper understanding about how English works.​

English Incentive 9s course is called Incentive English Language Arts 9. Incentive English Language Arts 9 covers the basics of English 9 but with additional information, activities that students will be doing are independent study, group projects, discussion, inquiry, and debate. Students will do challenging English and be expected to show a variety of written, visual and oral work.

English Incentive 10s course is called Incentive Composition and Literary Studies 10. Incentive Composition and Literary Studies 10 does everything in the English 10 curriculum but with more advacment. This course will support students in their development of communication through processes of questioning, exploring, and sampling.
