Why should you take French?

French at Palmer is not a subject that just has students remembering vocabulary words, It will teach French in a way that will help students understand a whole new world of words, and it will help students truly discover the reason why French is the second language of Canada. This course is a new way to dive deep into the depts of French and truly learn and feel the art of it.

 

Students should take French in grade 9 -10 because it can improve their cognitive skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving, and enhance their ability to learn other languages. It also offers educational and career advantages by opening up opportunities for future studies and jobs, and helps students develop a better understanding of different cultures and perspectives.

Students should take French in grade 11-12 for professional benefits, like improved job prospects and higher salaries in a bilingual country (Canada), as well as for personal development, such as enhanced reasonable function and deeper cultural understanding. Being bilingual can also lead to more opportunities for travel and further education, both in Canada and internationally, and is an asset for engaging fully as a Canadian citizen.
