To take the Incentive courses you need to be accepted into the Incentive program

Important!

Math Incentive 8-11

At Palmer, Math Incentive classes focus on these topics, number operations, algebra, logic, measurement, geometric constructions, probability and statistics, and financial literacy, however in Incentive, students will be diving much deeper into these topics and as the grade goes up, it gets even more challenging.

Math Incentive 8-9 courses are called, Incentive Mathematics 8 and Incentive Mathematics 9/10.

To get enrolled into Incentive Mathematics 8, students need to complete grade 7, as well as getting into the Incentive program before the school year starts.

To get enrolled into Incentive Mathematics 9/10, students need to be accepted into the Incentive program, and need a successful completion of Incentive Mathematics 8.

In grade 10-11, there are a verity of courses that students can choose from, heres what there called,   Mathematics 10 Foundations of Mathematics and Pre-Calculus, Mathematics 11 Foundations, Mathematics 11 Pre-calculus, and Mathematics 11 Enriched (Pre-calculus). These courses are not necessarily Incentive courses, but there main reason is to teach students with a higher level of understanding.

Math Incentive classes are challenging, however, if students put in hard work and truly have dedication to achieve there goal, they will be able to get there. Always remember this quote,

"The more you work, the more you gain."
