To take the Incentive courses you need to be accepted into the Incentive program

Social Studies Incentive 8-11

At Palmer, Incentive classes work on the four main topics, history, geography, civics, and economics. However, in Incentive these topics are much more intricate and with challenging understanding, as students move there way into higher grades in Incentive, it becomes more and more challenging.

In grade 8-9, the Incentive courses are called, Incentive Humanities 8 and Incentive Social Studies 9.

 These subjects will still be focusing on these big ideas, The Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Tudors, and the Reformation. Although, students in Incentive will take a look at these topics with much more complexion. Students need to complete grade 7, as well as getting into the Incentive program before the school year starts. To get enrolled into Incentive Social Studies 9, students need to be accepted into the Incentive program, and need a successful completion of Incentive Humanities 8.

In grade 10-11, the Incentive courses are called, Incentive Socials Studies 10, Incentive Explorations in Socials Studies 11. Students will still be working on the topics on What do students learn? page,

except with a much more complexion. To get enrolled into Incentive Social Studies 10 and Explorations in Social Studies 11, students need to be accepted into the Incentive program, and need a successful completion of Incentive Social Studies 9 and Incentive Social Studies 10.

 Social Studies Incentive courses are challenging, however, if students put in hard work and truly have dedication to achieve there goal, they will be able to get there. Always remember this quote,
